The Beartooth Aspen Collection uses logs from dead-standing aspen trees and are hand-peeled to preserve the natural wood color and character. The logs are dried in a kiln to a percent that exceeds the recommended minimum level of moisture in order to minimize any shrinking and splitting. The outdoor aspen furniture has a Spar Urethane by Minwax wood protector applied to help enhance and maintain apsen's natural color. This clear coating provides against damage from water and sun and is mildew-resistant. It is recommended to keep this bench regularly treated like any product that is placed outdoors to keep it's clean and crisp look the same year after year. Some assembly is required.
