The Aspen Mountain Plateau II Canopy Bed by Mountain Woods is made from aspen logs harvested from sustainable forests in the Rocky Mountains. Environmentally friendly, all logs are harvested from dead-standing aspen trees. The aspen logs used to make the rustic bed are hand peeled so as much of the natural beauty and character of the logs is left as is possible.
The aspen bed is constructed using mortise and tenon and then glued and screwed for added strength and longevity. This ensures heirloom quality craftsmanship. The aspen bed is then hand sanded and rubbed with a beeswax and linseed oil finish to bring out the natural beauty of the wood. The finish may be upgraded to a bronze aspen finish for a darker look.
The Aspen Mountain Plateau II Canopy Bed features straight logs across the head and footboards with vertical spindles between the upper and lower logs. The double side rails and self-supporting slats for the mattress and box springs give a solidly supported bed.

Finished with hand rubbed beeswax/linseed oil. Add a Bronze Aspen finish as an upgrade if you want a darker look
