The Beartooth Aspen Log Headboard is made with aspen logs that have been harvested from dead-standing aspen tree. The Beartooth Aspen Collection features solid aspen materials for all the logs and paneling that have been kiln dried. The aspen logs are hand peeled to preserve the natural character and to leave some of the inner bark on the logs to enhance the natural color. Each piece of furniture in the Beartooth Aspen Collection is finished with three different coats of varnish. The first coat is an undercoat that enhances the aspen colors and make the reds, greys, blues, and knots more vibrant. The last two coats of Sherwin-Williams Conversion Varnish provide a harder and more chemical and water resistant finish than typical lacquers and varnishes.
The Beartooth Aspen Log Headboard can be upgraded to extra gnarly logs from the standard aspen logs. Extra gnarly logs feature more knots, burls, twists and insect tracks. The aspen headboard can be upgraded to jumbo size, meaning the overall headboard has bigger logs and taller height. Standard logs are 5-6" in diameter and the jumbo logs are 6-7" in diameter.

- How does the headboard attach to the bed frame?
- Hi Tracy,
The headboard will attach to your metal bed frame with lag bolts. The bolts will go through the frame brackets and screw right into the legs on the headboard.
