The Montana Glacier Country Pine Log Futon is made from lodgepole pines that have been harvested from dead standing trees. The logs are then carefully hand peeled using draw knives to peel the outer bark off of the logs. This peeling process means all of the cambium (inner bark) is left on the logs. The Glacier Country Collection is then finished with an eight step spraying process that applies stain and lacquer. The hand peeling process also leave the natural character of the logs in tact, assuring that each piece of Montana Woodworks furniture will be uniquely rustic and original.
The Montana Glacier Country Pine Log Futon comes with a 54" by 75" black futon mattress. The exterior mattress cover is not removable, so a futon cover is recommended. This log futon is built to last and will look beautiful in your bedroom, whether at your home, rustic lodge, log cabin or country cottage. It's rustic beauty will be sure to please you for years to come.
