Montana 4 Drawer Log Sitting Chest

The Montana 4 Drawer Log Sitting Chest is made from lodgepole pines that have been harvested from dead standing trees. The logs are then hand peeled using draw knives to peel the bark off of the logs. This skip peeling process means some of the cambium (inner bark) is left on the logs, giving a beautiful texture and color contrast to the creamy white pine logs. The hand peeling process also leave the natural character of the logs intact, assuring that each piece of Montana Woodworks furniture will be uniquely rustic and original.

The Montana 4 Drawer Sitting Chest is constructed using solid pine, edge-glued laminated panels. Hand peeled logs are used for the corner accents to enhance the natural beauty of this heirloom log chest. The drawers of the log chest feature epoxy coated, metal easy glide drawer slides and hand peeled log handles. Upgrade the drawers to the half log style for an even more rustic look.  The 4 drawer log chest comes standard unfinished or you may choose to upgrade to a 3 coat clear lacquer or a honey pine finish.
