The Red Cedar 5 Drawer Log Bachelor Chest by Diamond Point is constructed mainly of aromatic red cedar. In addition to the beautiful red cedar, we also use yellow pine, brown cedar, along with various oak and hardwoods. This combination of woods means you get the beauty of red cedar along with the strength and durability the other hardwoods are know for.
The red cedar 5 drawer log bachelor chest is hand made and the logs used are hand peeled to enhance the wood's natural beauty and character. The natural beauty is then preserved by finishing each of our red cedar pieces with 3 coats of poly. Because the logs for the red cedar log chest are hand peeled, the works of nature, scoring, tracking, spots and dots, along with the effects and coloration from aging, gives each piece its own character which enhances the log faces and tops. No two pieces will look the same!
The drawers in the rustic 5 drawer bachelor chest feature epoxy coated self-closing drawer glides so each drawer will open smoothly and close quietly. To increase the beauty and uniqueness of the red cedar log chest, red cedar side panels can be added to the sides of the chest that will match the red cedar drawer fronts. This unique touch makes sure your red cedar chest will be a show stopper whether in your rustic lodge, log cabin, or even in your country cottage!
